How does it work?
Over the last few years Alexa and Google Home and Apple Home Pod have become far more prevalent in our home and we have got used to getting information and completing tasks with voice commands. Now you can control your blinds with your voice via Alexa, Siri and Google Home Assistant. You simply need to choose one of the many options we provide from our manufacturing partners that are voice enabled.
What sort of voice commands can I give?
Depending on the provider you can have simple commands such “open living room blinds” or more complex commands. This is where one set scenes or what are called IFTT (If This Then That) commands. This simply means you may instruct the blind that should the temperature in a room reach x degrees close the blind by 50%. This works in conjunction with your Nest heating system.
How complex can it get?
So, depending on the system chosen there are increased levels of complexity but its best to keep it simple to the features you really need on a daily basis. We can help you work through this.
